About IVAN

Our Mission: The Illinois Vector-Borne Disease Prevention Network (IVAN) is committed to advancing effective public policy and evidence-based practices to prevent and reduce the incidence of vector-borne diseases in Illinois. Through collaboration, advocacy, and the exchange of knowledge, the Network supports our members in safeguarding the health and well-being of communities across the state.

Our Vision: A healthier Illinois prepared for the evolving threats of vector-borne diseases—where climate-responsive public policy, innovation, and the advancement of best practices protect public health and strengthen community resilience. 

 

Our Members: IVAN members include the North Shore Mosquito Abatement District, the Desplaines Valley Mosquito Abatement District, and the Northwest Mosquito Abatement District. â€‹
